Really good stay!

The staff worked hard. I loved the food served both nights. It tasted freshly prepared and was beautifully presented. The staff managed my request for a room change upon arrival smoothly, even with a pre-existing upgrade. The service was very prompt and efficient!!!
The loud music from an evening event vibrated through the floor and disrupted the peace. I reported this to the reception at 11:30 PM, but the noise remained unchanged. There was no offer to move my room, disappointing.

My room was gorgeous with a comfortable bed with soft pillows. The shower was powerful, maintaining a stable temperature. A good selection of toiletries was provided. I got lovely soft pillows.

The evening meal I had, which consisted of pork shoulder and vegetables, was top quality. Breakfast included a full English, alongside a variety of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. The food was AMAZING!!!

i was in a room facing the courtyard. guests were noisy late at night. it was hard to sleep before my meetings.

plug-in fragrancesallergic reaction
I booked a night in what they called a Classic Double Room. It felt slightly small. I'm also allergic to fragrances. I was disappointed, because each room had plug-in fragrances to cover up the smell of visiting dogs. The allergic reaction made sleep impossible and impacted my health for days after. I don't find bigger chain hotels using fragrances so it doesn't come up as a problem.

the room was comfy. breakfast was good.
the event downstairs played loud music until late. i contacted reception at 11:30 pm, but no help was given. the hotel did not move us, and the music was not turned down. if i had known an event was on, i would not have booked.

lack of air conditioningunfilled buffet
I were a little disappointed with some things. My room, a Classic Double Room, did not have air conditioning, so it were very warm at night. The window were small and did not let in much air. the breakfast buffet ran out of pastries quite early, and staff did not seem to refill it promptly. I had to ask twice for more croissants.
